BMW is referring to the M8 Gran Coupe concept as ultra-sporty, extroverted and polarizing, marking a new facet of luxury. I’m not really sure what that means, but I do think that car looks fantastic. In the images that show the car off, it sports in a visually stimulating green color as it stands over a frozen background. Gran things are coming we can bet.
The M8 Gran Coupe is unmistakably a BMW. Present is the classic kidney grille with a more stylized design of the motif. BMW accented the concept with gold trims instead of the traditional chrome finishes, and it looks surprisingly good. Even the wheels and quad exhaust are gold. This detail will likely never make it out of the concept phase, but it’s cool to look at.
Aside from gushing over the M8 Gran Coupe’s design (understandably so), BMW didn’t really get into specifics about the engine or interior spacing. But given its dynamic yet achievable design, we might see it in the market sooner rather than later. The 2019 8 series is already in the works; however, seeing a 2020 refresh adopting the Gran Coupe concept’s design is very plausible.
